Care guide
Silver care
925 silver is built to last a lifetime. A little routine keeps it looking like the day you got it.
Daily habits
Small consistent things make the biggest difference for your silver.
-
1
Put it on last Dress first, jewellery last. Perfume, hairspray and lotions speed up tarnish.
-
2
Take it off first Remove before washing hands, showering or cooking. Soap and steam dull the finish.
-
3
Wipe after wearing A quick rub with a dry cloth removes skin oils and extends the shine.
What to avoid
Most tarnish and damage comes from one of these. Easy to avoid once you know.
-
—
Chlorine & saltwater Remove before pools or the ocean. Chlorine reacts with silver very quickly.
-
—
Perfume & chemicals Alcohol in perfumes and household cleaners causes rapid tarnish.
-
—
Rubber & latex Direct contact with rubber bands or latex causes black staining.
-
—
Hard workouts Sweat accelerates tarnish. Take pieces off before exercise.
How to polish
Tarnish is completely normal — it polishes back to bright in minutes.
-
1
Silver polishing cloth The best tool. Rub gently in straight lines — not circles — to avoid micro-scratches.
-
2
Mild soap + warm water For stubborn tarnish, soak 5 min and scrub lightly with a soft toothbrush.
-
3
Rinse & dry completely Always dry fully before storing. Moisture left on silver causes spots.
Storage
How you store your pieces matters more than most people think.
-
1
Store each piece separately Silver scratches against other metals. Use the pouch it came with.
-
2
Keep away from humidity Avoid bathrooms. A cool, dry place or a sealed zip-lock bag is ideal.
-
3
Anti-tarnish strips Optional but great for long storage. They absorb moisture and sulfur.
